The Challenge: To create artwork for the cover of Long Beach Transit's 2008 Annual Financial Report. The artwork should suggest or evoke “CELEBRATION” as this is the 45th anniversary of Long Beach Transit. Keep in mind that this is a Long Beach company in the public transportation business.
Art Specifications: Final image size of artwork should be no larger than 9” x 12”. Other size proportions will be accepted (such as 9” x 9” or 12” x 6” for example) , but they should fit within a 9” x 12” format. If artwork is provided digitally (preferred), it needs to be high resolution of at least 350 dpi at 9” x 12” or alternate size. Acceptable digital formats include TIFF, EPS, PDF or JPEG format and all links or images must be embedded in the file. There should be NO TEXT in the graphic you create.
Deadlines: The “45th Anniversary Art Contest” (“Contest”) begins at 12:01 a.m. PST on May 1, 2008 and ends at 11:59 p.m. PST on June 30, 2008 (“Contest Period”). For purposes of this Contest, all times refer to Pacific Standard Time “PST”. The Contest consists of one (1) prize drawing (“Drawing”) from the entries received.
Prizes: One winner will be selected from all eligible entries and receive a Visa cash card worth $200. Selection of artwork for the 2008 annual financial report will also include artist recognition.
Three Ways To Enter: There are three ways to enter: by mail, by delivery and via email. All entries must include an official entry form. Art received without an official entry form or does not meet art specifications will be disqualified.

3. Email Entry Send an email to: contest@lbtransit.com, with “Art Contest Entry” in the subject line. Your email must include your art and entry form. Your art must follow the digital requirements provided above under Art Specifications. Email entries in excess of the stated limits or if they are missing a completed entry form, will be disqualified.
